Please be advised that the Diocesan Administrator, The Rev. Gwen Andrews, has called for an Electoral Synod to convene to elect the 10th Bishop of Caledonia. The Synod will take place at St. Andrew's Cathedral, Prince Rupert, April 21st and 22nd.

The Synod will begin with the Celebration of the Eucharist at the Cathedral @ 7 pm on April 21st. Everyone is welcome to come and participate in the Service. The Business of the Synod will be done "in camera" which means that only the members of the Synod will be at the Synod.

Any church member resident within the Diocese of Caledonia can nominate in writing, any priest or bishop of the Anglican Communion who is in good standing or of any Church in full Communion with the Anglican Church of Canada.

In order to be eligible for election, the candidate must be: (1) of the full age of 30 years, (2) is a priest or a bishop in Holy Orders of the Anglican Church of Canada or of a Church in full communion therewith; (3) is faithful to the doctrines and discipline of the Anglican Church of Canada as determined and defined by the formularies of that Church ; (4) is known and recognized within that person's community as being a personal of integrity and moral stature; (5) has those qualities and abilities of leadership, experience and learning that will enable fulfilment of the duties of a chief pastor in the Church of God.

Archbishop John Privett of Kootenay will be presiding at the Electoral Synod.
